Our focus

CapCloud is an online learning environment and contains both a mature HR toolkit for organisations and a system of digital portfolios in which individual employees can keep track of their knowledge and skills. CapCloud does not supply content, but it does supply the framework to develop and visualise competencies. Companies manage varying numbers of employees, training organisations work directly in the portfolios of their course participants, and individual employees keep their personal portfolio for life. Life-long learning and employability have never been laid out in such great detail anywhere else. CapCloud focuses on four areas:

Talent.

Talent management.

Talent management generally focuses on the future, and generally in the long-term. Besides the day-to-day qualification and performance, talent development is aimed at the very next step. It demands a more personal approach than usually required. Talent development ensures employee retention, life-long learning and employability.

Employees can be part of a talent management programme, which incorporates both common and individual components. They can also decide to follow a strictly individual path to develop their talents, (online) supported by a coach or mentor.

In CapCloud’s vision, employee performance requires explicit attention. It expands future prospects and value, thus also the employee’s employability. What’s more, sufficient attention for personal development prevents undesirable employee turnover in the organisation.

CapCloud provides a full range of features in all scenarios to determine the basis for talent development, to draw up a personal learning plan and then to follow the plan. Practical learning experiences are particularly important in this case (refer to CapCloud vision), and can be organised via the digital learning environment. On-the-job training and learning from others requires a lot of social interaction. The CapCloud learning environment provides this option via direct feedback to learning results inside and outside the group, a microblog and the option for online mentoring and coaching.

CapCloud Features:

  • 360° Feedback
  • Personal Development Plan (PDP)
  • Microblog and forums
  • Interaction and social learning
  • Online mentoring and coaching
  • Content Management System and document management

Qualification.

Qualification.

In many cases you have to fulfil the minimum competency requirements. This is called qualification. You will receive a formal or informal qualification when you fulfil the minimum requirements. This can refer to minimum educational and training requirements that you must complete, and/or certain measurable and proven competencies that you must possess. Unfortunately qualification management is still at the mercy of spreadsheets or learning management systems (LMS) that only keep track of training registrations. Simply completing a training course says nothing about the learning effect, thus also to what extent the learnings are actually used on the job. The employee’s performance, to be assessed by measurable competencies, must also form a part of qualification.

Simply completing a training course says nothing about the learning effect, thus also to what extent the learnings are actually used on the job.

CapCloud offers integrated solutions for managing qualifications, both in terms of minimum education and training, as well as performance and assessments.

Continuous qualification or continued education is made possible thanks to a framework for CE (continuing education) points on the basis of which qualifications can be extended periodically.

CapCloud Features:

  • Management of education, training and training programmes
  • E-Learning with testing option
  • Competency catalogue with descriptions and level indicators
  • Assessments

Knowledge.

Knowledge management

Knowledge management is an impossible task, at least if your objective is to take all knowledge from your employees and document it, so that you do not have to rely on (certain) employees. This is an insurmountable task. Knowledge management must be a balance of documented “corporate knowledge” (libraries and management systems) and access to knowledge of people inside and outside your organisation. Therefore, it is better to know where you can obtain the knowledge, than to try to document all knowledge. Nevertheless, many organisations literally have no idea where to look, and what knowledge (and skills) actually exists inside their organisation.

CapCloud has solutions both for documenting knowledge, and for searching for knowledge among the people in their organisation. The wide range of information in the digital portfolios also provides visibility into the broader employability of personnel. Employees have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge.

CapCloud provides a full range of features in all scenarios to determine the basis for talent development, to draw up a personal learning plan and then to follow the plan.

Documentation can be classified by knowledge and competency areas, so that a direct link is established between knowledge areas on paper and employee knowledge.

CapCloud Features:

  • Content Management System (CMS)
  • Documentation Management
  • Classification system for content, documents and persons
  • E-learning with testing option
  • Search functions
  • Reporting
  • Microblog / Forums

  Performance.

Performance.

You perform adequately when you fulfil the requirements and expectations of your employer or client. An assessment of your work methods is automatically connected to performance. Therefore, performance and assessment are inextricably entwined. The assessment is not always formalised, resulting in an informal, subjective assessment by the supervisor, which may or may not be documented. In other cases, organisations have a formal cycle of performance reviews and assessments.

In CapCloud’s vision, employee performance requires explicit attention. It expands future prospects and value, thus also the employee’s employability. What’s more, sufficient attention for personal development prevents undesirable employee turnover in the organisation.

CapCloud is fully-featured when it comes to performance, assessment and development.

hese features make it possible to evaluate performance in a transparent manner, and employees can receive support in their development with a Personal Development Plan.

In the CapCloud vision employee development does not necessarily mean taking more training courses. Learning moments are to be chosen carefully, preferably a real situation at the work place. These types of learning experiences can be easily documented and assessed in the digital portfolio.
